Students with Power Snack items
“This has been a very impactful program for families in our district,” said Gerri Ann Wagner, School Liaison at IKM-Manning Schools. “Families are very appreciative of the Power Snack coupons, and they have mentioned how much it helps out since food prices have gotten so high.”

1,000 Power Snack coupons were delivered to the IKM-Manning Community School District today, totaling $8,000 in deli ham and $3,000 in whole wheat bread. This combination is the perfect nutritious and delicious meal source for students and families who are battling both hunger and high food costs at the grocery store. The deli ham and whole wheat bread are both full of nutrients that support growth, development and cognitive learning – all things that are vital in succeeding in the classroom.

The Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation believes that no one should face these barriers in order to reach success. That is why we are so honored to deliver the Power Snack coupons to schools in our Homegrown Iowa communities for the tenth year. We hope this program continues to provide families with the support needed during extended breaks from school.
